Human Capital Officer, THURSDAY 26 JULY, 2012


Main Responsibilities:
o    Monitor staff performance and attendant activities.
o    Provides assistance in reviewing and assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the department’s
policies, procedures and processes and identify improvement opportunities.
o    Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HC development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HC objectives.
o    Contribute to the evaluation and development of HC strategy and performance in co-operation with the executive team.
o    Provide information and assistance to staff and supervisors on human resource and work related issues.
o    Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
o    Provide support to supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff.
o    Promote human resources as a strategic partner in management decision making.
o    Maintain employee personal records and data administration.
o    Prepare and submit reports on daily activities of the department.
o    Perform other related duties as required

Person Specification:

   The incumbent must maintain confidentiality, use sound judgement and perform independently while performing the duties of the Human Capital officer. The incumbent must also demonstrate the following personal attributes:

Qualification

o       A good first degree in Business Admin, IRPM, Humanities or related discipline.

o    Membership of CIPMN
